As millennials continue to show more interest in investing and profiting from cryptocurrencies, Australia’s online investment industry has grown exponentially over the last few years. With an estimated $1 billion invested in Australia’s market by 2017 with predictions of a further surge this year, there is potential for crypto-investing to become one of the most popular trends among young investors across the globe.
“Millennials the show” is a recent trend that has led to an increase in online investment. Australians are now more interested in cryptocurrency than ever before, with many millennials turning to crypto as their primary form of investment.
According to Investing Trends’ Online Investing Report, young Australian investors are rapidly embracing new solutions provided by growing investment platforms.
Millennials are taking over the internet investing industry, according to a renowned financial investment business. The number of online investors climbed by roughly 21.6 percent in H1 2021, compared to 66.6 percent the previous year, according to the research.
The dormancy rate grew, but the number of reactivated and new investors climbed significantly.
Generation Z and millennials, on the other hand, are the true industry participants and latent forces. When it comes to people looking for fresh investment possibilities in the internet realm, they are in the majority.
The key drivers of this present trend in Australia, according to the survey, are access to global markets, cheap brokerage costs, and digital products. These have been the main drivers for millennials’ acceptance of online investing options, the report said.
Irene Guiamatsia, Head of Research at Investment Trends, offered her thoughts on the findings. “It’s great to see the number of online investors grow in the second part of the year,” he added. Another point made in the study is that other parts of the globe are seeing comparable increases in internet investment. However, Australia’s growth rate is somewhat greater than the worldwide average. While the rate of growth in the United States is 16 percent, it has reached 21 percent in Australia and is continuing to rise.
The financial market in Australia is one of the most stable in the world. The nation provides a welcoming atmosphere for global digital investment platforms and major financial brokerage organizations. As the business continues to develop, several of the companies have already established themselves in Australia.
As the general expansion in online investment platforms continues to develop, fractional investing has witnessed significant growth in recent months. According to the research, most of these growing platforms’ creative solutions have been immediately welcomed by young investors. Many of them have also responded positively to the addition of features such as fractional shares, according to Guiamatsia.
