The U.S. based cryptocurrency startup, Ledger has recently unveiled the first ever NFT-focused hardware wallet with a partnership with Paris Open Architecture Platform (POAP). The company is also offering their POA Network protocol for developers to build decentralized apps on top of their new product line up, which includes multiple other cold storage solutions and a software port from Ethereum’s smart contract platform called Mantis Bitcoin Wallet.
The “ledger poap” is a hardware wallet that is focused on NFTs. It has partnered with POAP to make it easier for users to store their digital assets.
The business stated that the “Genesis Edition” would be available for pre-order in a limited quantity of 10,000 units.

According to the statement, just 10,000 Ledger Nano S Plus devices would be available for pre-order for $79. The company has also formed a worldwide relationship with the Proof of Attendance Protocol, or POAP, which is based on Ethereum.

POAPs, also known as digital memories of NFTs, provide evidence of participation and attendance at important periods to other users. In January, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said that NFTs needed to be soul-bound in order to provide proof of success. POAP CEO Lucas Verra commented on the situation, saying:
“For anybody establishing a lifetime collection, securing and safeguarding your digital memories, like as the POAP you may gather with your Ledger Nano S Plus, is crucial.”

The Ledger Nano S Plus will support a variety of digital assets, including over 5,500 coins and tokens, as well as NFTs.
