13 MARCH 2022 – Lost Socks, an NFT initiative headquartered in New Zealand, is launching their sock company Lost Socks in real life and in the Metaverse at the same time. Minting of Lost Sock NFTs is now possible.
Have you ever wondered what happened to your misplaced sock? Don’t be concerned. The Lost Sock business is dedicated to locating your misplaced socks. Your misplaced socks from the normal world may now be discovered in the Metaverse, according to legend.
Ashley Thomas, a female co-founder and artist, and Anthony Baxter, a New Zealand co-founder, established the project. They toyed with the notion of founding an IRL (in real life) sock business for four years. When NFTs arrived, they chose to start building their brand in the Metaverse before opening their physical sock store.
“We wanted to create an NFT project that people could connect to and enjoy,” says the team. We wanted to build a brand that would persist and eventually become a household name. We can onboard more people into our brand by combining metaverse characters and tales with our IRL sock shop, while also generating fantastic things that people love and need, all while having a positive influence on the world.”
The Lost Sock series has 5,000 limited edition hand-drawn figures, each with its own distinct appearance. Ashley Thomas, the artist and creator, designed all of the socks. Over 150+ potential qualities, such as backdrops, sock hands, eyeglasses, accessories, and more, are used to create distinct outfits.
NFTs for Lost Socks
Minting and charity are the first two phases.
The mint price is 0.069 Ethereum.
MINTING IS NOW AVAILABLE (as of March 12, 2022)
Lost Socks will donate $15’000 of the money generated in the NFT sale to their selected children’s charities (Shoesthatfit & Kidscan).
“We think that every kid deserves a pair of socks, a pair of shoes, and a chance in life.” We’re calling it the Sock 4 Sock campaign, and we’re excited to expand our reach with future contributions from IRL product sales and any subsequent mints.” The Lost Socks crew expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation.
Left and right socks are produced, with the left being more unusual and referred to be “enlightened” socks. One in every five pairs of socks will be left over from the limited-edition run.
“The Lefties are a modest, tolerant, and patient tribe of Lost Socks who have been granted shelter in Sock World by the Laundry God. The Laundry God smiled upon the Lefties, and they were bestowed Enlightened Socks status via the Great Darning. These socks are more powerful in the Sock World since they are uncommon.”
Phase 2: Sandbox Sockworld
Sockworld on The Sandbox has been launched thanks to a collaboration between Lost Socks and MyReality, a leading metaverse agency.
Each Sock will also create a $THREAD token, allowing you to mint a free Sock VX NFT in the near future, which is likely to have a used case in the Sockworld.
“We’ve teamed with a world-renowned metaverse agency that has created some of The Sandbox’s most well-known brands in the last year. Soon, we’ll share the metaverse builders with everyone. We’re really excited to share Sock World with you.”
In addition, every Lost Sock NFT holder will get a complimentary IRL sock care kit (worth $50) sent to their home.
It’s time to get your Lost Socks back!
